Double, Triple, and Imperial IPA — when hops want more

If IPA is the classic hoppy beer, and NEIPA is the juicy revolution, then double, triple, and imperial IPAs are the no-holds-barred category. Here, everything is more — more hops, more malt, more alcohol, more aroma.

Double and Imperial IPA — power and balance

Double IPA (or DIPA) typically ranges between 7.5% and 10% ABV, with a doubled amount of hops and enough malt body to withstand this hop assault. The art here is in the balance — a bad DIPA is just bitter and alcoholic, while a good one is intense yet drinkable, with layers of tropical fruit, resin, citrus, or pine, depending on the hop profile. Imperial IPA is essentially synonymous — the term comes from the tradition of calling anything stronger than the standard version "imperial."

Triple IPA — for the bold

Triple IPA pushes things above 10%. The body is full, the aroma is explosive, and the alcohol is warming but well-integrated in the best examples. This is not a beer for a thirsty day — but for a moment when you want to sit down, slow down, and immerse yourself in the glass.

West Coast or Hazy?

The same distinction from the world of regular IPAs applies here. West Coast DIPA is dry, clean, and aggressively bitter. Hazy DIPA (or Double NEIPA) is cloudy, juicy, and has a creamy texture — more approachable to drink, but no less intense. In our collection, you will find both approaches.

Why Double/Triple/Imperial IPA from 100 Beers?

This is a category for connoisseurs who know what they want — and we select accordingly. Beers from leading European and American breweries, with an emphasis on freshness and variety of hop profiles. The collection is regularly updated, because for these styles, freshness is just as important as it is for NEIPA.
