The goal of this beer was to show the intensity that barrels can impart to a beer. This imperial stout was aged for 2 years in rum and cognac barrels . The rum barrels take the main stage with notes of cocoa, coconut, vanilla, dark fruits, burnt sugar and sweet candied fruits coming from the cognac barrels. All in all it’s a rum monster.
Designed to sip while enjoying the complexity, tastes best once warmed above 8°C.
