Bulgarian Craft Beer — Made Here, With Character
The Bulgarian craft scene is young but ambitious — and at 100 Beers, we've been following it from the very beginning. In our collection you'll find beers from nearly 20 Bulgarian breweries, with a range of styles that can surprise even seasoned craft enthusiasts — from everyday pale ales and lagers to imperial pastry stouts, barley wine, and wild-fermented ales.
Sofia Electric Brewing — The Broadest Portfolio
Sofia Electric Brewing has the largest presence in our shop — and for good reason. With an impressive range of styles, they cover everything — from easy-drinking pilsners and classic IPAs to hazy, juicy New England IPAs, powerful imperial stouts, and tart goses. Whatever mood you're in, SEB probably has a beer for it.
Alchemik and Beer Bastards — Two Different Approaches
If you're looking for dessert beers that come close to liquid chocolate cake, Alchemik is the right place — their imperial pastry stouts are rich, complex, and always feature interesting adjuncts. Beer Bastards are among the most recognizable names on the Bulgarian craft scene, with a focus on NEIPA — hazy, juicy, and generously hopped. They periodically experiment with other styles too, and their collaborations with international breweries show that Bulgarian craft is already playing on a global level.
Meltum Brewery — Balance and Consistency
Meltum from Lovech offers a stable and well-balanced lineup — from classic hoppy ales and NEIPAs to porters with a dessert character. The brewery recently opened an entirely new, modern, and significantly larger production facility — a sign that their ambitions are only just unfolding.
Cometa — The Lighter Side of Craft
Cometa is the brewery for those seeking lighter, easy-drinking beers with character. Their pale ales and lagers prove that craft and drinkability are not mutually exclusive.
Metalhead Brewery and Avren 8600
Metalhead Brewery brews with attitude — from IPAs to imperial stouts and porters, with occasional collaborations with international breweries. Avren 8600 comes from Yambol with a diverse lineup that includes lagers, pale ales, and stronger ales.
Trima i Dvama, Cohones, Sofia Brew and More
Trima i Dvama offer accessible, easy-drinking beers — pale ales, IPAs, and red ales, perfect for everyday occasions. Cohones Brewery is a brewery with character and a memorable visual identity, with lagers and NEIPAs in their portfolio. Sofia Brew, Sha#5, Zhar Ptitsa, and Pivovarna 359 round out the picture with various styles and experiments.
