Põhjala Õhtu

With the opening of their new larger brewery, Põhjala are adding another beer to their core range, which will be available year-round. A light (5.5% alcohol, which is really light by their standards), but very full-bodied and aromatic porter with oat and rye malt. The rye is smoked on birch wood, and with the addition of chocolate malt, the nuances range from cocoa to slightly smoky to subtle spiciness. Malts: Munich malt, Flaked oats, Cara pale, Cara 150, Cara 300, Carafa 2 special, Chocolate malt, Birch smoked rye malt Hops: Magnum, First Gold OG 15.6° ; FG 6° ; IBU 40 Serve 12–16˚C.
