Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen

The Schlenkerla brewery in the German town of Bamberg was the first to start producing smoked beer. One of the absolute classics is their Merzen beer. Its copper-amber color suggests the content of roasted malt, but the big surprise is its smoking with oak. The dry smoky aroma is powerful and immediately noticeable, reminiscent of bacon and at the same time almost completely replacing the feeling of hops.
